Entangled in the ‘good old days’ 

That were ‘glorious’

Sharing an image of prosperity 

As the duty of the Briton to expand his Pomp.

In modern history we see it as the dawn of  

Modern day, global-level colonisation. 

Colonisation; of course existing before this.

Just that prior to this we had no concept of the globe

Awareness had not expanded that far.

Nevertheless people were still conquering one another.
